
The incident occurred at the intersection of Pitkin Avenue and Mother Gaston Boulevard. Authorities said the victim sustained severe trauma to the head and body, and the driver involved in the crash did not remain at the scene.
Law enforcement sources stated that the victim was dragged under the vehicle for nearly two blocks following the collision. Emergency medical services arrived shortly afterward and pronounced her dead at the scene.
According to investigators, a westbound vehicle on Pitkin Avenue struck the victim before fleeing. Footage reviewed by authorities reportedly shows the vehicle dragging her before her body was ejected onto the roadway.
Investigators said the victim had exited a nearby bodega shortly before the crash and was crossing the street at the time. Sources added that she may have crossed against the traffic signal and that the driver might not have seen her.
Born in New York City, she began her career as a voice performer on the animated Nickelodeon series Little Bill, where she voiced characters from 1999 to 2004.
She later appeared in seven episodes of Nickelodeon’s sketch comedy show All That during its final season in 2005. The program also featured performers such as Amanda Bynes, Nick Cannon, and Kenan Thompson and helped launch the careers of many child actors.
Her film credits included a role as Tanessha Labelle in The 24 Hour Woman in 1999 and a minor appearance in Death of a Dynasty in 2003.
In addition to screen work, she spent a year performing on stage as Little Inez in the national touring production of the musical Hairspray, according to IMDb.
She later relocated from New York City to Los Angeles, according to published reports.
The fatal hit-and-run case remains under investigation. Authorities have confirmed that no arrests have been made at this time, and efforts to identify the driver involved are ongoing.
